Kelly Holland

My approach is a cognitive behavioral approach encompassing not only thoughts and feelings but also social and environmental factors. My inpatient exposure has provided me the invaluable experience of assessing and treating clients in varying degrees of emotional and mental states. I have grown to appreciate assessing and identifying the impacts trauma has on clients and how it affects their thought processes and behaviors. Post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, substance use disorders and intellectual disability disorders have been areas of focus in my practice over the past three years.
I have enjoyed practicing in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and mental health clinical settings over the past 13 years. I have helped people navigate mental health challenges in both settings. My experience spans severe thought and mood disorders, behavioral conditions and co-occurring diagnoses.
My clients can expect an open, honest dialogue and a welcoming space. We will work together on setting goals and strategies to improve quality of life. I believe in an approach rooted in trust because healing can begin when a person feels truly seen and safe which allows assessments to become conversations and treatment becomes tailored to the individual.
